Beauty Editor, Kate Turner’s tips;

I love the ritual of preparing my pre-flight beauty stash. It really helps me to get in the right mental zone ready for travel and it’s a comfort knowing I have my trusted favourites within reach. Pack these in a big transparent cosmetics case from Muji so you don’t have to rummage. De Mamiel Altitude Oil – I dab this under my nose and on my airplane pillow to help kill any airborne nasties and help me relax. Origins Peace of Mind On the Spot Relief – Portable aromatherapy for when I get panicky in turbulence. Smooth onto temples and earlobes for instant Zen. Lanolips Tinted Balm – My lips get so dry flying. Slathering this on helps and it has a very pretty, natural tint.Caudalie Beauty Elixir – I’m obsessed with this dreamy facial toner which is packed with essential oils. A quick spritz after take off and before landing wakes up my skin and gives a lovely dewy glow. YSL Touche Eclat – I can’t be bothered with a full makeover at the end of a long flight. But a little Touche Eclat under my eyes helps me look surprisingly fresh.

Hydrating mist is an absolute must – I spritz my face regularly throughout the flight, my favourite? Sukin, Hydrating Mist Toner.  My eyes tend to suffer the most from the cabin pressure so my saviour is Clarins Super Restorative Total Eye Concentrate, I dab it around my eye socket hourly. Next up, a serum is a must have and the REN Radiance Perfection Serum, helps restore the glow sapped away by hours in the air, followed by a generous helping of Balance Me Restore and Replenish Face Cream. Finally, a lip balm, all the moisture your lips need AND with a hint of a tint. Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Red Dahlia or Rose, wins hands down.

And finally, THIS. LOTS OF THIS.
